03.09.2007 - Clan Men bow out of Championship after thrilling draw
In the game of the championship so far Clan Men bowed out of this year's competition after a thrilling 1-08 to 0-11 draw against Young Irelands. Needing a win to have a chance of clinching a spot in the final, Clan needed to get off to a good start however in a repeat of their other defeats, Clan went into the break 6pts to 1pt down. A great start to the 2nd half saw Clan reduce the deficit to a single point however slack defending allowed Young Irelands to grab a goal on the break and they added a further 2 pts to regain the 6pt advantage. After this point however it was all Clan and with time still on the clock they drew level for the first time in the match. Clan were left rueing missing a glorious chance in the last minute to atleast register a point and shortly after the miss the full time siren went and with it Clan's championship hopes for 2007. Clan Ladies however made it 4 wins in a row and have one foot in the final after a 3-10 to 1-02 victory over Michael Cusacks. The camogie girls suffered another defeat in a competitive game to a McAnallens side who have as good as secured their berth in the final. With one round of the Championship remaining till the finals any hope of silverware for the club lies with the Ladies football team as they try to make up for the disappointment of the league final loss.

26.08.2007 - Clan Ladies make it 3-in-a-row
Clan Ladies put in an impressive display against current League winners Central Coast to post a 2-8 to 1-2 victory. With the top two teams going straight to the final this may prove a vital victory for the Clan Ladies. The Camogie girls slipped to their 4th defeat however posted a healthy score of 9-8 against table toppers Central Coast in a game where attack was on top.

19.08.2007 - Clan men lose, Ladies continue winning streak
Clan Men's hopes of reaching the Championship hang by a thread after a 1pt loss to Michael Cusacks. The game will be remembered for a controversal 'square ball' goal being awarded to Cusacks, however Clan were left rueing a slow start and missing a hatful of chances which should have seen them come out on top regardless. Clan Ladies posted an impressive win over Irish Aussies. Clan Camogie girls again lost out in a tight encouter with Craobh Padraig pulling away in the last couple of minutes to record a 6pt victory over the Clan girls.

05.08.2007 - Clan Men & Ladies get off the mark
The Clan Men and Ladies football teams recorded their first victories of the Championship with the Men recording a 5 pt victory over Penrith Gaels while the Ladies ran out comfortable winners against Michael Cusacks. The Camogie team however lost in a thriller to Cormac McAnallens, going down to a last minute goal.

26.07.2007 - Bad start to the Championship for all Clan teams
The Championship campaign begun in the same fashion as the League campaign ended with all three Clan teams losing. First up were the Ladies in a rematch of their league final against Central Coast. Clan struggled for numbers and played the whole game with only 14 players. Despite losing 2-04 to 1-03 Clan can take a lot of encouragement as it was only in the last 10mins that Coast grabbed the lead to claim the victory. The same cannot be said of the Men's team who put in a dreadful performance going down 0-02 to 0-06 in a low scoring match against McAnallens. Clan's game was characterised by sloppy passing and numerous wides in a game dominated by defences. McAnallens deservedly took the spoils by being more clinical in front of the posts when the chances presented themselves. In the final match the camogie team were beaten by Central Coast. A storming first half by Coast left too much of a gap to close but Clan can be encouraged by the way they bossed the 2nd half and finished the stronger of the two teams

16.07.2007 - Clan's Finals Nightmare......
All three clan teams suffered defeat in their League Final matches on Sunday. First up was the Camogie team facing hot favourites Central Coast. A first half blitz by the unbeaten Coast left Clan with too much to do however an excellent second half performance showed how far the team has come after finishing bottom last season. Final Score - Central Coast 8-09 - Clan 3-08.

Next up were the Clan Ladies again against Central Coast in the Ladies Football Final. All previous games were close and this game started no different as both defences were on top for most of the first half. With Clan forwards misfiring and failing to capitalise on tenacious defending by their backs, Coast scored the vital first goal to open up a 5pt gap at half time. An improved but ultimately ineffective performance by Clan's forward line in the 2nd half saw Coast being put under sustained pressure but they used their counter-attacking to great effect and ended victorious by the scoreline 2-06 to 0-02. A bitterly disappointing performance from a Clan team who played so well up to the final.

The Men's final completed the nightmare day as Clan lost by 2pts to Young Irelands. In the first 15 mins of the game Young Irelands blitzed a Clan team that could do no right. Half way through the half Young Irelands led by 1-06 to 0-01. After that Clan dominated the game and pinned Young Irelands back into their own half. Despite sustained pressure, bad passing and too many wides ultimately cost Clan the title as they fought back to a 1-08 to 0-09 defeat. A very disappointing performance by the Clan men who had built their league campaign on a solid defending.

08.07.2007 - Clan Men & Camogie Teams advance to League Finals
Next weekend's League Finals will see all Clan NaGael teams contesting their final with the Men's and Camogie teams advancing today from their semi finals.
First up were the Camogie girls who have being improving throughout the league series and capped it off with a magnificient 4-04 to 1-04 victory over Craobh Padraig. The girls controlled the game from the start and were always in the driving seat. In the final they will meet Central Coast who to date are unbeaten and will start as hot favourites. Clan Men produced their best performance to date with a magnificent team effort to advance to the final at the expense of Michael Cusack's with an impressive 2-13 to 0-05 scoreline. Clan hit the ground running from the first thrown in and tight defence and fast attacking moves ensured that Cusack's were not able to get into the game. Clan will meet Young Irelands in the final who deservedly got the better of Cormac McAnallens in the other Men's semi by a scoreline of 2-12 to 0-10. This sets up a repeat of last year's Championship final. Clan Ladies will face Central Coast in their final after Coast eventually put away a spirited Irish Aussies team.
